About.
I started writing 18 years ago after a painful experience in a relationship. I found myself going mad behind the walls I called home. I remember one day at work stopping for a break and sitting next to a small pond. My mind and thoughts were clouded. Sitting by this pond, I noticed the frogs talking and jumping around me. It was as if they told me to take another step when I felt I could no longer walk. Their words were healing at that moment, nature awakening something in me. The way the trees moved, and the water danced, I knew I had found peace.
The Silhouette is a safe space I created to tell the story of how my eyes see the world. I did so on Instagram for years, writing short poems under my photos. Over the years, my writing and how I see life have evolved. That’s one of the reasons I started this page: my photography never felt right, nor did my words on social media sites, which I have no control over. My writing and photography are now free; this is my safe space for freely expressing my feelings. With the Silhouette of Mountains, this site is my heart pouring into the world, honestly, not half of it, but the whole. So, if words still matter, I invite you to join me on this journey as I explore How we heal. That’s why I’m sharing my story from my point of view of overcoming life lessons from my past.
